BAD HINDU MORALS IN THEIR SCRIPTURES
The Maha Sabha and other Hindu organizations with unthinking people who reveal that they do not properly read, have accused Thusia S.D.A. Church of blaspheming Hindu gods with obscenity. But all the tracts we have thus far printed have been explanations of the Hindu scriptures themselves, and from Hindu scholars in India, more learned in sankrit and Hinduism than all Hindu scholars in Trinidad.
The offensive materials in our tracts are from the Hindu scriptures, the Maha Sabha knows that, but prefer to mislead the people and accuse us of writing offensive tracts to detract from the fact that they CANNOT justifiably answer the tracts except they admit that the Hindu religion is wrong.
In this tract we shall quote in a large way from the LINGA PURANA. In case you do not know, this is a "sacred" Hindu scripture about Hindu gods and "holy" men and their behaviour. So do not blame Thusia for the sin and obscenities that are in this tract because they are quotations from Hindu scriptures. Please be honest enough to lay the blame where it really belongs.
First of all, the Christian bible contains the Ten Commandments, and the seventh clause as given by YHWH the true God tells us: "Thou shalt not commit adultery." Ex 20:14. In the New Testament we are told that adultery is a work of the flesh (Gal 5:19) and we are told"...that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."Gal 5:21. The one and only true God (Jer 10:10) does not encourage, command or condone adultery; when David committed this sin he had to sinceraly confess it to God if he were to be forgiven (Ps 51). But it is not so in the Hindu scriptures. While some of them speak against adultery, many of them command adultery in their usual contradictory style, so that even the gods like Indra, Shiva, Brahma, Krishna, ect. commit adultery.
In a Hindu scripture, the LINGA PURANA, printed in by a board of Indian scholars from India, sponsored by UNESCO and the Government of India, sold in any puja store for you to buy and read, is a most obscene story of the gods (or is it god?) Shiva and Dharma. It is in chapter 29 of the book and has the title "victory over death." The chapter instructs us all as to how to gain victory over death.
I quote from this Hindu scripture: "How did Rudra (Shiva) the naked lord of sublimated sexuality assume a hideous form and go to Daru forest? What did that great soul do there?" LINGA PURANA pt. 1. , p.115. Observe that this Hindu god Shiva is naked, should you worship such a god? Isn’t holy Jesus better?
The quotation continues. "In order to propitiate the lord of Devas, the sages performed a terrible penance in the Daru forest. They were accompanied by their wives, sons and sacrificial fires. Rudra, the lord of the univers .was delighted. The lord of the universe Rudra (Shiva) wanted to test the sincerity of the dwellers of the Daru forest in respect of their sacrificial rites, He wanted to turn their minds from the observance of sacrificial rites to the path of renunciation. Thus in order to test their faith, and sportively too, he assumed a deformed but attractive appearance. He had three eyes and two hands. He was nude, and dark in complexion. Even in this form he was extremely handsome. He was smiling and singing, with seductive play of his eyebrows, thereby creating feelings of love in the hearts of women. He… the lord of extremely handsome features increased their sexual feelings. On seeing a man of deformed features, black–red (in colour), even the chaste women followed him with great enthusiasm. On receiving the gesture of a smile from his lotus-like face the women… stopped all other activities and followed him not caring for their loosened garments and ornaments. Some of the women, on seeing him felt their eyes reeling due to excitement. Even the old women who were beyond the age of seductive charms of the eye-brow began to display their amorous gestures… Some brahmin ladies on seeing him in the forest found that their own fresh silken garments had got loosened… One of them, on seeing him did not know that her upper and lower garments had stripped off… Some sang; some danced; some fell and rolled down on the ground. O leading brahmin, another lady sat on the ground like an elephant and began to talk aloud...After stopping Rudra on his way they began to show all shrewed gestures...Due to the Maya of Rudra even the chaste ladies fell down in an ackward posture with their clothes loosened and their tresses dishevelled, in the very presence of their husbands." LINGA PURANA pt. 1, pp. 115-117.
At this point, the husbands of these women who have lost all their moral senses got angry and justifiably so began to speak harsh words to Rudra/Shiva, who then disappeared. Certainly they must be against this monstrousity caused by god. Would you worship this type of god? The sages did not, but spoke against what their god did, so he disappeared and would not bless all their penances. The next day another Hindu god Brahma informed the sages that it was lord Shiva that seduced the women. He also told them they had lost his blessings because they objected to his behaviour. Brahma also began to give them an account of another devotee who behaved better than them. It is about a man named Sudarsana who instructed his wife that she must entertain her guests by adoring them because they might be Shiva in disguise. We are told that the women’s husband went out and god Dharma (Shiva) disguised as a brahmin came into her house. She worshipped this guest and gave him food.
He (god) said to her, "O noble lady, enough of this cooked rice and other eatables! I say you should dedicate yourself (to me). Remembering what had been previously mentioned by her husband that chaste lady full of bashfulness and with closed eyes, began to move (towards him)...she made up her mind to dedicate herself to Dharma there itself at the behest of her own husband. In the meantime, Sudarsana, the husband of that lady, came to the threshold and called to her- "Come, come, O gentle lady? Where have you been?" It was the guest himself who replied to him. "O Sudarsana , O highly blessed one, I am now engaged in sexual intercourse with this wife of yours. What should be done here only may kindly be mentioned. O leading brahmin, the sexual intercourse is concluded. O excellent brahmin, I am satisfied." Sudarsana the noble brahmin then said in delight: -"O excellent brahmin, enjoy her as you please. I shall go away now." There after Dharma who was delighted (at this incident) revealed him self (in his own form). He granted him whatever he desired and told him again. "...O excellent brahmin of good rites, with this single act of piety you have conquered death." ...Saying this he went away. Hence all guests should be worshipped in the same manner." LINGA PURANA pt.1, pp.119-120.
Now I have quoted from the Hindu "scared" scriptures. This is a most vile, a most obscence act done by a Hindu god(Shiva), when these Hindu scriptures show their god to be an adulterer, how can a Hindu worship him? The entire account is SINFUL right through from beginning to ending.
Just imagine the Prime Minister of this country or one of his cabinet ministers reading these so called "sacred" scriptures and following it thinking the pundit is god disguised, if this comes out in public, would it not be scandal of tremendous proportions? Yet this is an example of the Hindu religion which people are either ignorant of or the pundits lie to cover up.
Thusia ( SDA) did not at all blaspheme the Hindu gods, the Hindu gods themselves caused their own disrepute by their immoral and corrupt behaviour. Thusia (SDA) merely revealed it so that the public could see what really is the thousand years of tradition that Hindus boast about.
This is also a call for Hindus and deceived columnists and people to compare the morality of Christ with Shiva and intelligently ask yourself, which one is holy, which one you would rather follow, and which one is truly God? Remember, of Christ it is said: "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ suffered for us leaving us an example that ye should follow in his steps. Who did no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth." 1 Pet.2: 21,22. We offer you Jesus Christ to follow that you might be saved. God bless you. Amen.
